PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
My Qualifications
I’m constantly taking on new and interesting projects that help me build my experience and skill set. From industry-related tasks to many unique sculptural opportunities, each experience I’ve had has turned me into who I am today.
MEMBER - SCULPTORS UNION LOS ANGELES LOCAL 755
August 2007 - Present
As an active member of the union, I have been part of over 30 major film and television productions. This involves a range of subject matter that is small enough to fit into the palm of your hand or large enough to fill the largest Hollywood sound stages. Rocks, mountains, caves, landscape sets, and enormous amounts of foam rubble. Space ships, archeological artifact, mechanical parts, detailed ornament and figurative statues. The list of subject matter is limited to, well, it doesn't seem to be limited at all. I have officially logged over 20,000 hours devoted to this trade.
I have developed a thorough understanding of the structural qualities of all types of foam. Building massive structurally sound sets that reach to the tops of the largest soundstages is actually routine.
I have developed the skill to duplicate specific rock, copy ornamental filigree, ancient hieroglyphs, duplicate military hardware, create blast damage designed to look like it really happened. It's regularly a new experience with every job.
when it comes to foam, I'm pretty solid.

SCULPTOR - GRAPHITE, DESIGN & BUILD, TOLEDO, OHIO
August 2017- January 2018
Prehistoric Ice Age animals for the Toledo Zoo Science Museum. Incredible opportunity to recreate ice animals from the Ohio region. Teamed up with the talented in house crew to produce the clay Marquette’s and design the space for the exhibit. These clay maquette statues were scanned and milled in EPS in life scale. Incredible challenge to anatomically recreate extinct life forms in dynamic displays.
OWNER/JEWELRY DESIGNER, LAS JEWELRY
2008 - 2018
Jewelry Design and sculptor. Worked with creative lead Lisa Soltis to create high fashion rings, cuffs, pendants and earring. Our main focus was natural and organic during a time when the process was going heavily computer aided. I was able to really explore that focus by sculpting skulls and and other natural shapes and designing them into wearable objects.
This was my opportunity to really study skulls and try to duplicate structure of natural growth in all forms. A fascination that still factors into nearly every design process I'm involved in.
The sculpture I was able to do here was an important lead up to the Science Museum at the Toledo Zoo permanent ice age exhibit mentioned above.

ABOUT ME
My professional journey began over 25 years ago with a mission statement that was simply “I want to make cool things!” That path has put me into high profile industries that allowed those cool things to share the big screen with A-list actors on some of the biggest budget films of the last 16 years as well as prestigious museums and exhibits around the world. My professional career began with toy design and prototype work. Moving on to freelance sculpture large and small. All the while I learned from some of the best artists in these respective fields. My goal is (and always will be) to expand my skills outside of what I’ve known and to influence my work with the wide range of experiences.
My online portfolio’s main purpose is to display the depth of my skill and experience and to show that I am not limited to what I have done already. I live to be challenged and my intent is to use my skill set to work for the benefit of the client with the next challenge.

Thorough understanding of materials and the production and process of designing a product. market, concepts, drafting, prototype and model making.
